Who can take the Standard First Aid CPR-A course:

This WSIB Approved Standard First Aid CPR-A course is designed for anyone who wants or needs to learn life saving CPR tools. This course is a requirement for companies or employers who have 6 or more workers / employees per shift. Therefore, if you do not have this training for your staff it may be time to book.

Overview:

This course is offered in a blended format which is part theory online as well as theory and practical in person. The online theory is approximately 6 hours of self-paced learning, which must be completed prior to the on-site portion. Then you will attend the on-site theory and practical training portion on September 23, 2025 (approximately 6-7 hours). The practical training will provide you with the essential skills to care for, protect and support the life of a suddenly ill/injured patient until emergency medical services arrive.

Upon completion of the course you will receive your certification which is valid for 3 years.

• Introduction as well as terminology

• Adult CPR

• A.E.D

• Shock

• Cardiovascular Disease

• Severe Bleeding

• Burns

• Heat and Cold Injuries

• Bone and Joint Injuries

In conclusion, the education this training provides to workers and employers will provide them with a better understanding of life saving techniques.  As a result, this knowledge will provide for a safer workplace.
