Construction 101 in Canada is a foundational course developed by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) and partner associations across the country.

Designed for individuals new to the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Civil (ICI+C) construction sector, this two-day course provides a practical overview of how construction projects are planned, delivered, and completed. Participants will gain a stronger understanding of project team roles, delivery methods, procurement and tendering processes, contracts, regulations, and the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to close-out.

• Understand project stakeholder roles and decision-making processes

• Learn common project delivery methods and contract types

• Gain insight into procurement, tendering, and preconstruction activities

• Develop a basic understanding of construction regulations and legislation

• Explore project close-out requirements and industry best practices
